We all cry for you, sweet sister
Hoping for the pain to subside
Hoping to wake up from this nightmare
To find that you haven’t really died.
But I wake up each day, my sister
And I find your still not here
And my heart it weighs so heavy
As I wipe away yet more tears
So now I cry for you, my sister
Grieve that you’ve gone away
But my love for you burns brighter still
For Forever and a day
I need you to know, my sister
That we all love you very much
Our hearts will never truly heal
Those, whose lives you’ve touched
There’s a great many tears, my sister
In this world you’ve left behind
Too soon you’re gone from our lives
But I promise; never from our minds
When I think of you, big sister
I’ll try not to feel so sad
And laugh at all your quirky ways
And remember the fun we had
I smile for you, my sister
Such a beauty to behold
Your memory will live strong in us
Your stories will be re-told
I miss you so, my sister
But I feel your presence near
And know that you’ll stay with each of us
To guide us through the years
A long time from now, my sister
When the pain is not so raw
I’ll come to know your merely waiting
on the other side of the door
I tell you this my sister
Your adventures just begun
And one day when we meet again
We’ll join in on the fun
So when my times comes, my sister
I’ll gladly slip away
To know that we’ll be together again
Forever and a day
